Why did you choose this specific strategy? How does this strategy assist a student in understanding the content?

I would use a foldable because it is a great strategy for getting students to learn vocabulary and I have several students that have poor short-term memory. I also have students that do not organize information well, and this foldable has specific areas for specific information. Foldable also give gives an art element and students are still learning their vocabulary words but they are learning through a different lens. I also have students that need the kinesthetic piece when learning and foldables are a great hands on activity.

Foldables are a creative way to teach vocabulary through art. Many students that have mild disabilities love foldables because it allows them to use others talents. Students that struggle with vocabulary are able to make foldables and put other information beside words that help stem metacognition. Foldables are a great study guide for students, especially for mild disability students who dont plan specific learning techniques. A foldable is a great tool that they can use, is easily assessable, and a tool that the teacher can easily revisit.
