In favor: Why is it needed? -What changes for uninsured? -What changes for physicians? -Improvements on the current system Against: Forcing people into it -Penalties and fines -Possible progression towards socialism People losing coverage -Government regulating whats good for that citizen Companies cant afford to offer coverage for employees -Lay offs due to new regulations some companies cant afford -With lay offs comes more people taxing the welfare system Decreasing quality of health care -Medicaid/VA examples Middle (3rd) opinion: Obamacare good, but needs to be simpler -Stricter public monitor/less governmental influence -No fines -Not mandatory Closing: Personal conclusion/feelings/opinions Besides this issue exploration project we were assigned to write a reflective essay, a visual analysis, and a rhetorical analysis essay. Each project consisted of similar fundamentals, which required us to research a topic and create an outline to complete the assignment. As we write we are encouraged to express our point of view and opinions along with the research we found. I found every assignment to be challenging and help me broaden my writing abilities.
