788-4400 E-mail: ceo@watertownny.com The Greater Watertown North Country Chamber of Commerce announces that the Northern New York Community Foundation is funding a scholarship for a non-profit agency with fewer than 25 full time employees to participate in the Jefferson Leadership Institute, Class of 2015. Each year the Chamber hosts the Jefferson Leadership Institute, a leadership development program that immerses participants in community issues throughout ten full day sessions, and an overnight retreat. The curriculum enables participants to develop a greater knowledge of the North Country region, build strong relationships amongst the group and encourages positive community involvement. The Northern New York Community Foundation recognizes the many benefits of JLI and has been a long-time supporter of the program. Because of this, NNYCF wishes to assist a local non-profit organization in participating. The cost to participate in the program is $1000 per person for employees of Chamber members, or $1200 for non-members. Scholarship applications will be available through the Greater Watertown-North Country Chamber of Commerce after May 10, 2014.
