Scenario
! To create a lesson plan for fourth grade students on the subject of Social Studies and to show a powerpoint presentation with topics we will be going over such as Daily life, settlements, politics, and the physical environment during the California Gold Rush. At the end of the powerpoint there will be a jeopardy for students to participate in and show what they learned during the lecture. A video will be presented afterward with a handout for them to take notes on during the video.

Objectives
! Will be focusing on California State Standard for Fourth Grade Social Socials section 4.3. 4.3: Students explain the economic, social, and political life in California from the establishment of the Bear Flag Republic through the Mexican American war, the gold rush, and the granting of statehood. I will be focusing on 3: Analyze the effects of the Gold Rush on settlements, daily life, politics, and the physical environment.

Describe your assessment


Develop: Present videos and presentations and lectures to students to help give them a better understanding of the subject. To present images and audio for students to grasp a better understanding. Explain Hand out the handout and have students take notes on subject for them to remember and critical think of the subject. Ask students questions or have them explain the material back. Achievement: Give quiz to students and measure their learning on the material presented. Have students engage in discussion about subject. Have students turn in handout notes to grade.
