Description of what you did: We reviewed Laurens (Kriss student teacher) task of creating a family tree and using screencast to record. Learning Target/Big Idea: I can use family vocabulary and possessive adjectives to create a family tree working in groups of 3-4 people and creating a video to present your family tree. What did you learn as a group? What are some suggestions/revisions that were discussed in the group? - Analyzing, not just regurgitating what was taught by creating with the language - Students are using the vocabulary and organizing the information - Some repetition - Technology component, add a learning target that utilizes technology too - Maybe allow the groups to watch the videos and provide feedback - Utilize a blog to upload the videos so that they are accessible and students could watch What action steps resulted from this meeting? Next steps for the presenter. - Set expectations for group members, - Make smaller groups, by yourself or in a pair - If you are absent you are still responsible for the presentation - Have students turn in their script - Students have to create a possessive worksheet out of their script Notes for next meetings agenda: Parking lot (Questions we have? Resources we need?) -How was the assignment assessed -Enough time in class to present change directions, divide up steps that students should accomplish in each day -Did you communicate your ideas to the audience
