How to get to Leybourne Lakes Country Park: Road: A228, off junction 4 of the M20 northbound. Road Map: www.streetmap.co.uk Enter TQ700601 in the address toolbar. Route description: Start: From the car park walk to the left hand side of the rangers office to find the start of the walk. Follow the footpath from here to reach the lake. At the lake follow path along the shoreline with the lake on your right until you reach a forked junction.

Points of interest: 1 Water Activity Centre providing windsurfing and canoeing. 2 Snake, see one of eight sculptures in the park. 3 Each marker buoy in the lake relates to a sunken object to explore for scuba divers using the lake. Additional information The car park opens daily (including Christmas Day), at 7.30am and closes at dusk. Pay and display in operation. There is a height restriction barrier of (2.1metre). 2 At the forked junction, follow the path A right and continue ahead with the lake to your immediate right.

B Take the next junction to the left on the path between the two lakes and continue ahead until you reach the junction (with an exit to Tesco to the 1 left).

C At the junction continue onwards for some time keeping the lake immediately to your right. Ignoring all other paths to return back to the visitor centre - you are now at the end of the walk and can retrace your way back to the car park. Finish
