Text or image watermarking for real time copy right protection Abstract

The digital watermarking is a multimedia technology for information hiding which provides the authentication and copyright protection. The digital images are easily exchanged through internet and threaten to some malicious attacks. Wavelet based frequency domain watermarking provides the robustness against different attacks. Bit plane slicing scheme of spatial domain watermarking provides lesser computational complexity suitable for real time implementation. We combine advantages of the both the domains for the proposed algorithm. DWT is one of the advanced decomposition method which gives the finer elements after decomposition. On applying DWT for any image it gives the finer elements which gives more important information. This project develops algorithm for robust and invisible watermarking of text or image in an image for efficient copy right protection. First the image in which the watermark has to be inserted is decomposed into sub bands using DWT. To reduce the distortion for the host image the watermarking image should be embedded at the components having less priority.
