Grade ELA Class
Lights, Camera, Action:
The Caesar Pleaser

Have you been wondering how you would like to make the
movie differently? Nows your chance! In this activity you will
be able to share with the rest of the class exactly how you
imagine your favorite scenes to look.

Instructions:

1. Go to Chogger.com
You will find this at the right hand of the screen, click
Sign In:

Log in with my account information:
-Username: MrBurton
-E-mail: Burton12j@gmail.com
-Password: Burton

2. Click BUILD A COMIC NOW
A separate window will appear that looks like this:
You will be prompted to Choose a layout.
Select the first option with three frames.

3. Take some time playing with the tools here.
We will not be using Google Images or real photos.
To begin with your cartoons, click Draw on the bar
on the left side of the window. Notice the speech
bubble at the top of this bar. You can click this to
have options to integrate quotes into the frame.
I suggest doing this after you finish your drawing
so that you can see where it will fit into your frame.

4. Begin! It will be helpful if you already have three
quotes chosen before beginning to draw. Remember,
the quote should reflect the drawing. Tip: It also may help
to sketch your idea onto a piece of paper before
constructing it on Chogger.

5. When you are done, simply click finish at the top of the
screen. Enter your Comic Title and Description as
your name. Your description may also include which
scenes you chose and why. For the tag, please put
MrBurton. This will help us to group all of our files
together for easy access in the future.

Heres an example of my first completed frame:

If I were to direct this scene in a film, I would imagine Caesar to
be dressed with a cape following the battle. He and Marc
Antony would be elevated above the rest of the crowd, and Marc
Antony would be handing him the crown. Notice how I chose to
make Marc Antony smaller, even though he and Caesar were
good friends. Why do you think I would do this?
