The Long Term Plan outlined a predicted rates increase of 3.3% for 2014/15.

The draft
Annual Plan has further refined that forecast down to 2.7%. This equates to $400,000 of
savings from what was originally forecast, whilst making significant additional provision for
economic development initiatives, CBD security and an enhanced focus on youth priorities.

Forecast net external debt for the 2014/15 financial year is $77.2m, down from the forecast of
$90.5m in the Long Term Plan. This is largely due to a number of growth related projects being
deferred because of the current economic conditions.
