The Future is Light ! I mean not Heavy... ahh you know.

In medieval times the armor was very heavy to wear. The steel weighed a tone. No
w a days Kevlar and other materials weigh less than half of what steel weighs an
d offer an even better protection.
In the future composite materials will make armor even lighter and even more dur
able.
But armor depends on the projectile it has to stop.
Laser pistols and rifles will pave the way for shock absorbent armor more than b
ullet stopping ones.
Like in Star Wars the Clone Wars the clone armor is a shock stopper and also fir
e resistant, if a AK-47 would have been used it would have spelled disaster.
