Standard units are also important in our daily life. Imagine if
standard units are not used, a bag of sugar might have to be
sold using a cup as a measuring apparatus. However, a cup
may have various sizes and therefore people are not getting
the same amount of sugar for the same amount of money.
People throughout the world people will be confused when
making products.
In the absence of standard units, people will not be able to
communicate in an effective way. It is difficult to make
comparisons of size, weight and length of an object if
everybody is not using standard units. Without standard units,
accurate measurements cannot be made.
