Systems Analysis

Activities
The 5 activities in the analysis phase
You will need to get input
from all of them.
Who are the
Stakeholders?
Everyone and anyone
to uses the System
How can I obtain the information I
need from the Stakeholders?
Group Interviews
Gather the heads of the
departments that will
be effected together
and get their input on
how they interact with
the system.
Questionaires
Send a questionnaire
to all the stakeholders.
This is a great method
if there is a large
number of
stakeholders to
interview.
Define Requirements
We build models showing
these requirements
We use the
information gathered
from stakeholder to
define what function
are required in the
new system.
We create models for
the new system then
review with the users
refining the model to
show the changes.
Prioitize Requirements
Once you understand the
system requirements, you
need to decide which are
the most crucial to the
systems functionality.

Evaluate Requirements
with Users
When you are making many new additions and
changes to the system you may have to build a
prototype and have the users train and use it so you
can adjust the system.
