As a Geometry teacher at Merced High School, I have had the oort!nity and the honor o"
getting to #no$ and teach %a&!elin G!dino and 'ene"iting "rom her e(cetional $or# ethic, metic!lo!s
dedication, and contagio!s ositive attit!de) *!ring the ast t$o years, %a&!elin has imroved and
cra"ted her $or# ethic ill!strating to everyone ho$ hard $or# and dedication has led her to accomlish
any goal regardless o" ho$ da!nting a tas# seemed)
%a&!elin $as al$ays on tas# and esecially detailed in her $or#) That+s easy to say a'o!t any
st!dent '!t $hat disting!ished %a&!elin "rom the rest $as her contagio!s attit!de) Altho!gh she started
o"" a 'it shy, she 'ecame more and more con"ident in her a'ility to er"orm at the highest level in my
class and to ill!strate her tr!e characteristics) I have not met a haier erson $ho al$ays $al#ed in
$ith a smile and immediately 'rightened ! the room) St!dents $ho $ere str!ggling immediately got a

teach others and the $hole classroom environment imroved)

mentor to "acilitate "reshmen+s transition "rom middle school into high school)
