COMMUNITY SERVICE
MD Food Bank (March 8) I know, not the most energetic community event, but we all got a
good feel for what our community needs, and how we can help. Remember what Steve said:
Dont trash the labels!
Stream Clean 2014 (April 5) We all had a great time pulling up tires, but the real benefit came
from the monstrous pile of trash that no longer littered the Baltimore shoreline. And I think we
can all agree that Loyola and University of Maryland can eat our dust.
Earth Day Tree Planting (April 26) The Gunpowder watershed extends for hundreds of miles
through Maryland and beyond. Planting trees in it keeps not only trash and manmade debris
from tumbling in with the rain, but top soil sticking to the ground instead of eroding away. I
helped Peggy and rest of the team plant over 200 trees.

OFFICE VISIT
Stoy, Malone, & Company, PC (April 25) Our hosts not only gave us all a delicious brunch, but
gave us a very informative tour through their offices and tax procedures. For those of you who work or
have worked in accounting offices, you might already have the system down. But many of us learned a
great deal from Jeff, Vince, and all the others walkthrough of their process. We will endeavor to
continue our relationship with our neighbors, and enjoy their hospitality for years to come.

ACCOUNTING FOR BALTIMORE YOUTH
Accounting For Baltimore Youth (March 18) Reginald F Lewis High School houses some of the
most confident, grounded high school students I have ever had the pleasure to meet. I encourage
anyone planning on participating in BAP next semester to join the AFBY and help reach out to these
bright young men and women; they have plenty to offer you, too.
