Annotated Bibliography

Due Date: Monday, July 21

As you begin exploring your research topic, you will write an annotated bibliography containing
annotations of at least five sources to which you will refer as you complete your research project.
You must include at least one website, one book, and one scholarly journal article in your
Annotated Bibliography.

Remember that youve already found two of your sources: the text weve read in class and the
contemporary source youve chosen for the comparison. Additionally, you should find at least one
source for each of these texts that addresses that text specifically. You may also choose to find a
source that deals specifically with the literary theory with which youre viewing your texts.

Be sure to cite each source properly in accordance with MLA style and provide a thorough but
concise annotation for each source. Each annotation should include a summary of the source and
a brief explanation of how the source relates to your research project. Once completed, the
annotated bibliography will be a useful resource for the remainder of your project.

Your Annotated Bibliography should be typed using Times New Roman, twelve point font, with
one-inch margins on all sides. Your work should be cited using the MLA guidelines.
