About the Mill Training Tutorial CD-ROM

The Mill Training Tutorial CD was created to introduce new users to Mastercam X; the
CD covers Tutorial 1 through 6 of the Mastercam Mill Training Tutorials Version X text.
There is also included a series of Mastercam X Tips and Techniques

When running the CD you will be able to view the Mastercam functions used to create
the geometry along with the process used to generate the tool paths. The videos contain
audio commentary explaining the various Mastercam functions that are used to create the
parts.

Each Mill Tutorial is broken down into small steps that follow the sequence used in the
text.

The CD contains approximately seven hours of instructional video content.

On most machines the Mill Tutorial CD will start when you place the CD in the CD-
ROM drive. If it does not, you should use one of the following methods:

? Windows Explorer or My Computer to open the CD-ROM device and then
double click on the executable file MasterxamXMillCD.exe.
? or
? Select the Start icon, click on Run then Browse to the CD-ROM drive select the file
MasterxamXMillCD.exe. Click on Open and then OK

In order to control the volume, you will have to manually adjust the volume on your
speakers, or click on the speaker icon, located in the upper right hand corner when you
are reviewing one of the videos. If you are using headphones, make sure to plug them
into the sound card and not the headphone jack located on the CD-ROM drive.

Recommended Screen Resolution is 1280 x 1024.
