Dr. McKay Caston, Lead Pastor of Preaching & Leadership Message 2 of 4: The Indicatives and Imperatives of Christian Parenting
TODAYS KEY BIBLE PASSAGE: Titus 2:11-14 11 For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, 12 training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, 13 waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, 14 who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.
THE BIG IDEA: ____________________________________________________________________________.
MY NOTES:
GET CONNECTED! The Get Connected form in the bulletin is for you to fill out and place in the offering basket after the message. Our offering goes to support the ministry of the gospel locally through Creekstone and Campus Outreach, regionally through our church planting partnerships, and globally thorough the missionaries we support around the world. Your giving is making a difference toward the ripple effect of grace!
CHURCH-WIDE PICNIC SUNDAY, MAY 18th Be sure to join us on Sunday, May 18th, for Creekstones annual Spring Picnic at Yahoola Creek Park from 4:00 til 6:00 p.m. Just bring a picnic dinner, blanket, frisbee and anything else needed for a great time together as a church family. Everyone is invited and welcome to attend!
GENERATION NEXT: HELPING TODAYS PARENTS DISCIPLE TOMORROWS LEADERS In this months sermon series, we are exploring the foundations and implications of gospel-centered parenting, discovering that, ultimately, parenting it is a context for discipleship. This means that the goal is not merely behavior modification, but heart transformation. Whether or not you are a parent or a grand- parent, you are part of a church family that includes children, and every one of us plays a role in the discipleship of Generation NEXT. Furthermore, many of you will have children of your own one day. So, what a great opportunity to get prepared!
GRACEKIDS! GraceKids is a teaching environment during the morning service that is designed for children ages 3 through 5th grade. Children who wish to participate in GraceKids will be dismissed from the service after the announcements just before the sermon. Parents may pick up their children after the service.
