My VTfT1 Experience

WHEN I FIRST
SPROUTED
Throughout the Year
Mr. Merritt watered our VTfT 1 class with
knowledge.
From Different Learning Styles to the
importance of play, we were taught everything
we needed to know to be successful teachers.

About My Internship
I interned at Princess Anne Middle School
I taught in an inclusion English class
My cooperating Teachers were Mrs. Chaves
and Mrs. Martin
It was a great experience and helped me
realize that middle school was not for me.

My Students
My Cooperating Teachers
Amanda Chaves was the main teacher in the
class. She previously taught third grade but
was offered a job at Princess Anne Middle
School and took it.

Nancy Martin was the special education
teacher. She often helped the students out and
was familiar with their IEPs. She gave me a lot
of information about special education.

Miss Martins Review
Miss Barrios was very
enthusiastic from day
one. She showed great
rapport with the
students and was not
afraid to jump right in.
She is more than willing
to jump in and help with
the delivery of
instructions. She is
wonderful with special
needs students and
shows great patience
and understanding.
Miss Barrios jumped right
in and started assisting on
the very first day! She
presented a Me Bag to the
class. She maintains a
professional teacher
demeanor and has a
wonderful rapport with
students. 4s for instruction
because she hasnt taught
yet and for attendance
because she missed a day.
Overall, we truly enjoy
having Miss Barrios in the
classroom.
Miss Chaves Reflection
I gave my
cooperating
Teachers a mug and
a Starbucks gift card
to show my
appreciation. They
both loved this gift.
Favorite Memory
My favorite
experience in my
internship was on my
last day. Although I
was sad to leave, I
saw the impact I had
on the students. I felt
as if I had made a
difference in these
students lives. I felt
appreciated.
