World Languages Alignment Workshop 2013: Standards, SLOs & Assessments, Oh My!
Who: Region 14 World Languages Teachers What: A Socratic workshop in which teachers will work with other regional professions as they learn to unwrap the new standards, align their programs curriculum, write SLOs and align their assessment practices. (Examples will be in Spanish, but easily adaptable) Where: Clinton-Massie High School Room 208 (2556 Lebanon Road; Clarksville, Ohio 45113) When: Friday, May 10, 2013 Registration 7:45-8:00 8:00-11:00 Session 1: Socratic Seminar The Cogs 11:00-12:00 LUNCH 12:00-3:00 Workshop The Fine-Tuned Machine Why: Through the request of several Resident Educators and their mentors, a list of developmental needs was created. Those needs are going to be addressed at this PD session.
The session is hosted by Donnie Phelps, M.Ed. Donnie taught high school and college level Spanish for 6 years before filling his current role as an Assistant Principal at Clinton-Massie High School. Donnie is known throughout the region and state for his innovative approaches to foreign language teaching and his zeal for collaboration with colleagues.
