In current school
systems student
data should to be
utilized regularly
to guide
classroom and
intervention
decisions.
According to the
Campus Improvement
Plan (CIP):
Teachers will use
formative assessments,
and data to ensure
mastery of TEKS.
This project will allow me to plan data analysis
and interventions for the 8
th
grade math team
to improve overall success of 8
th
grade math
students. Through this I hope to meet a variety
of needs and increases student achievement.
Part of this project will involve analyzing tests,
planning interventions according to TEKS and
utilizing data to implement specific
interventions.
I will evaluate the project by
reviewing STAAR results. I can
also utilize assesment results
especially those after data analysis
was utilized. Data trackers will
assist in determining the needs of
students.

Teachers need to
work together
towards similar
goals in order to
ensure positive
climate.
According to the CIP:
Teachers will use
formative assessments,
and data to ensure
mastery of TEKS;
teachers will engage
students; teachers will
follow Teacher
Expectations
This project will allow me to mentor a teacher
and work with the language arts team to
ensure consistency. Through this project I will
work with the language arts teachers to
implement backwards design, build a unified
team culture in Area 5, and increase student
achievement.
I will evaluate the project by
reviewing STAAR results.Data
trackers will assist in determining
the needs of students. Finally we
can measure the student
perceptions on the team culture by
using the Tripod survey results.

Community
should be more
involved with
school, assist
students
According to CIP: Build
ties between parents,
school, and community
According to PTA:
Students void in
Maslows hierarchy
needs
Plan community event to motivate students
and meet Maslows hierarchy of needs.
Originally this planned to include parents and
community partnerships through a festival at
the local Boys and Girls Club which is located
directly across the street from the apartments
where the majority of our students live.
Unfortunately, due to lack of communication
and scheduling the event did not occur. In
order to ensure a community project still took
place it was replaced with the second annual
Cinderella Project. This event was cohosted
by myself at Northbrook Middle School and a
team of teachers at Landrum Middle School to
find assistance for students in the eighth
grade. The event hosted teachers and
community members to raise funds for eighth
grade students.
I will evaluate this project based on
the number of students the event
is able to assist.

Students in middle
grades need
consistency.
Teachers need to
develop routines
and procedures in
a caring
enviroment for
students. Why do
we switch
teachers every
year?
According to CIP:
Teachers will deepen
student mastery of
standards, teachers will
work to build Love and
Logic rapport and
character traits in
students.
In order to determine if relationship exists
between looping (when a teacher stays with a
group of students for two or more years) and
either student achievement and/ or student
communication I conducted a research project.
The research measured academic growth via
curriculum based assessment data and
student communication via student survey
data.
I will evaluate this project based on
the results of a t-test to determine
if the relationship exists. Looping
had a positive relationship with
student communication. Though
student achievement was higher it
was not by a significant amount.
