the public by helping when there are emergencies. Some rescue people who are
trapped in a fire, car accident, or natural disaster such as a tornado or flood. Others
drive and provide emergency medical care to patients in ambulances or at home
before they arrive at a hospital. Still others oversee and manage rescue operations.
Agribusiness Systems People who work in this group of occupations apply
technology to many activities in the field of agriculture. These activities include
preparing food, marketing it, and shipping it.
Transportation Systems/Infrastructure Planning, Management, and
Regulation People who work in these occupations plan transportation systems
such as subways, railroads, and road systems. They collect information about needs
and then design a system to meet those needs. In doing so, they must follow
regulations set by local and state governments. Some in this group inspect
transportation systems to assure that they meet required standards.
Animal Systems People who work in this group of occupations figure out better ways
to produce meat, poultry, eggs and dairy products. They study farm animals. Some
inspect and determine the quality of animals and food. Others buy and market farm
animals.

who need to know it.
Audio and Video Technology and Film People who work in this group of
occupations deal with the equipment that is used to produce audio and video. Their
work is done in a variety of places and to deliver many different kinds of
presentations. They may design or make the equipment, or they may sell it, install it,
service it, and maintain it.
