Ponies While Being Ridden

Tacking Up A Pony
• Firstly you have to put the saddle on to the
ponies back being careful you drop it incase the
pony bucks or gets spooked!
• Leave the girth loose
• Secondly put the bridle on, DO NOT fasten the
Nose band until you are ready to ride
• Twist the bridle and then attach it to the throat
lash fasten loosely!
• When you are leading a pony
Leading A Pony you huld be on the left hand
side and the same kind of
hight as the ponies back.
• You SHOULD NOT be on the
right hand unless thet is
reign the pony should be on
the person leading should
always be the same hight as
the ponies back.
Riding
• When you are riding you should always have a
good back posture and your elbows should stay
in.
• Your toes should be up and all the pressure
should be on your heels.
• Always wear a proper riding hat incase of a
serious fall on your head
Around In the stables
• If a person is riding and
you are working in the
stables behind you need
to keep as quiet as
possibe otherwise you
could cause really bad
accidents to the person
riding the pony.
• The pony could get
spooked
