Re: Auburn Police Request Public’s Assistance Locating Stolen Bicycle

The Auburn Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance with the recovery of
a vintage bicycle stolen from a local supermarket. On September 13th, 2009 at
approximately 9:50pm the owner of the bicycle rode it to Tops Supermarket on Genesee
Street. Leaving the bicycle outside the store near the post officer drop box the owner
entered the store but later returned to find that his bicycle had been stolen. The bicycle is
described as a 1950 Shelby Flyer blue and red in color. The bicycle has a chrome chain
guard and chrome rack on the rear wheel. The bicycle also has two flashlights mounted
to the handle bars. The bicycle has deep sentimental value to the owner and only wishes
for its return.

Anyone with information concerning the whereabouts of the bicycle is asked to contact
Detective Bryant Bergenstock at (315)258-9880. Yours calls can remain anonymous.
