Dear Parents,
Happy Mothers Day to all of our moms! I hope you enjoyed receiving the pots the students painted. I
know they had a great time painting them! We were able to paint them in the Kindergarten room,
which was a nostalgic moment for all of us!
We had our spelling pretest last Thursday and I am so proud to write they all received 100 percent!
The tests are hanging in the hallway outside of the classroom so we can show our great work!! We
should be completing Unit 10 in Superkids this week and will then begin the end-of-level test.
In math, the students are having difficulty counting different denominations of coins. This is an easy
skill to practice at home. Just give your child a mixture of dimes, nickels and pennies and have them
count them. You can also tell them specific amounts and have them use dimes, nickels and pennies
to show the amounts.
Later this month, we will participate in the May 28
th
school Mass. We will share duties with the
Kindergarten class. The last all-school Mass for this school year will be on June 4
th
. The last day of
school is June 5
th
.
Finally, thank you all so much for the lovely flowers. They are beautiful and much appreciated.
Have a fantastic week,
Mrs. Patsavas
