Note to Parents: It has been researched that students who parents are actively involved
Earn higher grades and test scores, and enroll in higher-level programs, be promoted,
pass their classes, and earn credits, attend school regularly, have better social skills,
show improved behavior, and adapt well to school and graduate and go on to
postsecondary education.(Henderson & Mapp, 2002). I would encourage you to stay
as actively involved in your childrens education. It will be so much more important in
the long run.
I look forward getting to meet all of my students and their parents as well.
Thank You,
Miss Holly Gibson
One of our goals this year in science is
to understand the Structure and
Function of Matter and Molecules and
Their Interactions. We will be
discussing the three main state
changes. I would like to use technology
to allow them to see the change in state
and why this occurs and give them a
hands on experience.

Things to Come
Here is a list of a few topics we will be
covering. Operations and Algebra
Thinking, Numbers and Operations in
Base 10 and Number and Operation-
Fractions. Technology is going to be a big
help in the process of teaching these
subjects especially fractions. There is a
multitude educational websites that allow
kids to practice these skills not only at
home but also at school.
