Finishing 5-10 mins 10 mins For B and C, assess goalkeepers position, select technique and aim for the most vulnerable area of the goal. If far out just look to hit the target and get power.
Rules: Oranges take in turns to pass to greens When waiting to pass they try and collect the loose balls
Progressions: -Change the passing angle like suggested -Make players run around the cone and run in for the strike -Have the oranges play in different deliveries, headers etc. -Add targets in the goal
Session content: 15-20 mins Rules: - Coach roles the ball in along the dotted line. - The first player in the queue of each team follows the arrows and runs around the yellow cone. The become the goalkeeper when they run around the yellow cones and the is the striker who attempts to score. Progressions and adaptations: - Headers, volleys, add a defender, move further out Coaching points: -Inside foot for precision, laces for power, curling. -Take a touch -Adapt body position -Shape for technique
Games Based Practice 4V4
Rules: -Aim is to score, if the ball goes wide the keeper distributes like normal -Can use orange floaters on the outside to cross balls in -When goal is scored the team who conceded receives ball from goalkeeper -Corners/throws taken by floaters Adaptations -Reduce number of touches before have to shoot (for either team passing too much) -Add extra points for certain targets in the goal Coaching points: -Could have shot -Technique (Laces, Inside, Curling etc.) -Ranges of power -Adapt body position for shot
