INTASC # 7

My artifact is a text comprehension lesson plan. Standard 7 is a
demonstration of planning instruction that supports each student
learning goals by including the content areas, curriculum, and disciple
skills. When I made my lesson plan I made a note to ask questions
throughout the story to make sure students comprehended. When I
performed the lesson I realized that when I was asking questions some
students were not following along. This lesson plan and its included
procedures helped me learn that I have to pace myself with the
students. Regardless of those who werent following along other
students were engaged and reading along with me. This artifact falls
within the planning instruction area because I structured a plan for
instruction on text comprehension.
