INTASC Standard #5

This artifact is a lesson plan on Language Arts. INTASC Standard 5
is an application of content. Where the teacher has an understanding of
differences throughout the class and can engage learners in
collaborative problem solving related to authentic local and global
issues. The lesson plan gives the student a choice of their own on how
to complete it. The lesson plan also is an example of relating
assessment with something they are familiar with like apples. This
artifact can make it easier on not only the student but me. The lines on
the paper and the direction make it simple and easy for me to grade.
This also can allow me to asses and understand what skills the students
have in writing and how well they can write in a designated area. This
plan primarily focuses on assessing because the students will have to
show how many descriptive words they know and how neatly they can
write them.
