To Whom It May Concern;

It is a pleasure to write a letter of recommendation for Ruby Quiralte. Ruby is a student in my Health and Family
Living class at Merced High School. I have known her since January 2013. As a student, Ruby has maintained a
good attendance record. She is attentive and follows directions well. She completes all of her assignments on
time. She works well on both individual and group projects, working effectively and cooperatively with fellow
students.

Ruby carries herself with confidence and a positive attitude. She currently has a 3.2 GPA. She has been in
upper level, honors/AP classes throughout high school. She has been a student athlete; playing varsity softball
all four years as well as varsity crosses country in her junior year. She has made 1st Team All-League twice and
2nd Team All-League once, as well as being a team captain. In addition, she plays competitive ASA softball
during the summer. Ruby is a positive role model for teammates.

She was in MEChA and Key Club during her freshman and sophomore years. MECha is a student led
organization empowering young Latin students to pursue higher education. Key Club is a student-led
organization whose goal is to teach leadership through helping. She was also in the Synergy Softball Club.

Ruby has accumulated approximately 200 hours of community service. She volunteered at the Franciscan
Retirement Home for two years. She also helps teachers set up classrooms and prepare for the school year.

Ruby ultimately plans on pursuing a career in nursing or physical therapy. She has applied to CSUs and UC
Merced. She will be majoring in nursing or kinesiology with a minor in psychology. Rubys perseverance and
motivation will guide her through; her family places a high value on education which gives her incentive.

Ruby is sincere and honest, operating with integrity in her personal as well as academic life. She has set goals
for her future. She is a kind and compassionate young lady. Ruby carries herself with confidence and a positive
attitude. I believe she will succeed in her future as she pursues her education and future career. If you have any
