Procedures (step by step) Be Specific

*Beginning (How will I introduce activity?)

I will introduce this activity during circle time and talk about the different textures that a frog may have

When you touch a frog what does it feel like? Is it slimy? Is it rough? Does a toad feel the same as a frog?

Boys and girls we will be making slime today. When we go to the tables you will get a bowl and spoon and I
will have my helpers hand out the materials.

The safety issue with this activity is not letting the children put their hands or any material in their mouth.

Boys and girls we will be pouring the material in the bowl in order then stir it with your spoon you can add the
different colors that we have now lets look and see what we will add first can anyone tell me?

*Middle: (How will I support/enhance/scaffold?) The person reading your lesson plan should be able to
identify what you are saying or doing to support your stated learning objectives. THIS IS VERY
IMPORTANT.

What do we pour in next?
Does everyones look the same?
Did anyone choose the same colors?
What do you this will happen if we add more color?
What about a different color?
Now that its mixed lets mix it with our hands.
Does it feel rough or soft?
Is it slimy?
Does yours look the same as every one elses?
What happens when you squeeze it?
What happens when you out it on the table?
What happens when you put it on the frog?
Do you think a frog is as slimy?
Why not or why do you think so?
What about a toad?
I will have feathers, beans and paper

*End: (How will I bring activity to conclusion and transition to next activity?)

Boys and girls this activity will be over in 5 minutes you can play with the slime tell then. Than after you will
put it in the baggie with your name on it.

The children will put the slime in baggies them put there bowl in trash and wipe the table and there art area
clean.

After clean up the children will sit back at the table and talk about where they will go for work time. They can
leave when they are done with the activity and clean up their art area and tell me where they will be working for
free time.

Boys and girls we will be hopping like a frog to our next activity.

*Throughout the day/week, what opportunities will the children have to reflect back on this activity?

The child will be able to reflect back to this activity during circle time that day.
The child will be able to reflect back to this activity with the class pet.
