Gd' Afternoon, Everybody.

Do you see this sheet of paper I hold in my hand right now? It is my

written speech. Every public speaking occasion would naturally induce
one to have their thoughts and ideas written on a piece of paper; I am
no different. But, I am not going to read out my oh so well written and
edited speech. No, I am going to speak to you today straight from the
words in my heart.

I have been in yellow house for 5 years now, plus I have been
contributing member for no less than that. I have seen victory, drama,
failure, desperation, success and joy. This is seen not only from my own
perspective, but from others' as well. And I find that no matter the
situation, each person wants to have someone at the end of the day to
make all the decisions for him or her.

I have taken part in school events in every single field: academic, sport,
art, music and social representation. I know very well that becoming a
house captain would require every once of experience that I could
squeeze out of these events. In other words, I will be no stranger or
beginner in any challenge that you would put me to. That means, that I
am capable of this job.

Members of Yellow house, I am not the kindest, most compassionate,
friendly or considerate person in this room; nor will I ever be. But what I
lack, I make up with stability, reliability and loyalty. I will stand up for the
members of this house, that you may never have be disregarded as part
of muted team. I will give you nothing less than my very best effort; and I
will push you to achieve what you may not believe that you can more
than just complete. We may not win every competition, but I will make
sure that you make your marks loud, and wide.

I will make sure that when you completed your acts and roles in
performing arts day that you would be relieved that you had done your
best. I will make sure that when finish a race on sports day that you will
have people cheering for you no matter what position you get. I will
make sure that when you give your best it will be noticed.

Once a year, students of year 10 are asked to step up to the place of
leadership. Today I am stepping up to place my claim for the house
captainship of the yellow eagles. Vote for me, because I care.
