Subject: Comment on Method Statement of Road Marking work
This refers to your letter CCECC/HIGHWAY/DR/14/1257 dated 10
th
April 2014 through which you
submitted method statement of road marking work for our review and approval.
After having reviewed the submitted methodology youre here by informed that the method
statement has been accepted, however the following comments should be added in your
methodology and during road marking works;-
i. Number 2 in your method statement/ step iii, the setting out at interval of 25m to one
another on the straight must be followed during pre-marking so that straightness is
obtained and rectify all the previous pre-marked section which shows some chords or
divergence
ii. The lines, symbols, figures or marks shall be pre-marked by means of spots of same
colour as that of the final lines and marks and the pre marking shall be approved by the
engineer prior to any painting operations being commenced as specified in SS 5506 of the
standard specification for road works.
