I believe in responsible tourism.

They were shouting anti-government slogans and
demanding urgent action to improve education in the
country. A small group of the main demonstrators broke
away from the main demonstration and made their way
to the president's palace. Later in the evening, the city
centre was still swarming with student who were
enjoying the party atmosphere.

I feel very strongly about politics, but I'm worried about
global warming.

I work for an organisation called Eco Holidays, and we're
demonstrating against mass tourism. I'm not against
tourism but I believe in responsible tourism. We're
against big hotels and package holidays. With Eco
Holidays you can really experience the local culture. We
organise accommodation with local families. Would you
like some information about our holidays?

I'm having fun with my friends. It's my first
demostration. I don't feel strongly about politics, but I'm
worried about global warming. I don't really care about
people - they can look after themselves. I'm in favour of
protecting wild animals - I want to help polar bears and
penguins. If the ice caps melt, where will they live?

Creo en el turismo responsable.

Gritaban consignas contra el gobierno y exigiendo
medidas urgentes para mejorar la educacin en el pas.
Un pequeo grupo de los principales manifestantes se
separ de la manifestacin principal y se dirigieron hacia
el palacio presidencial. Ms tarde en la noche, el centro
de la ciudad an estaba abarrotado de estudiantes que
estaban disfrutando del ambiente de fiesta.

Me siento muy fuertemente sobre la poltica, pero estoy
preocupado por el calentamiento global.

Yo trabajo para una organizacin llamada Eco Holidays, y
estamos demostrando contra el turismo de masas. No
estoy en contra del turismo, pero yo creo en el turismo
responsable. Estamos en contra de los grandes hoteles y
paquetes de vacaciones. Con Eco Holidays realmente se
puede disfrutar de la cultura local. Organizamos
alojamiento con familias locales. Le gustara recibir

Me estoy divirtiendo con mis amigos. Es mi primera
demostracin. No me parece muy importante la poltica,
pero estoy preocupado por el calentamiento global.
Realmente no me preocupo por la gente - pueden cuidar
de s mismos. Estoy a favor de la proteccin de los
animales salvajes - Quiero ayudar a los osos polares y los
pinginos. Si las capas de hielo se derriten, dnde van a
vivir?
I welcome the opportunity to bring my research and
engineering skills to Petroperu.

I'm here because we're destroying the planet. I'm
protesting against multinational companies. They're
polluting our rivers and oceans and they're causing global
warming. I'm in favour of small family- run companies. I'm
against food imports. I support local farmers and I buy
food from farmers' markets, not supermarket.

I'm riding my bicycle today because I'm against big cars in
the city. I'm not anti-cars - in fact, I have a car - but I just
think more people should use public transport. Leave you
car at tome- ride a bicycle.

Estoy aqu porque estamos destruyendo el planeta. Estoy
protestando contra las compaas multinacionales. Estn
contaminando nuestros ros y ocanos y que estn
causando el calentamiento global. Yo estoy a favor de las
pequeas empresas familiares. Estoy en contra de las
importaciones de alimentos. Estoy a favor de los
agricultores locales y compro alimentos en los mercados
de los agricultores, no a los supermercados.

Estoy montando mi bicicleta hoy, porque estoy en contra
de los coches grandes de la ciudad. Yo no soy anti-coches -
de hecho, tengo un coche - pero yo slo creo que ms
personas deben utilizar el transporte pblico. Deje su
coche en el tomo-paseo en bicicleta.
