Satellite East Middle School MS 301, in an effort to maximize impact on student outcomes, has developed a specific, formalized method of generating, disseminating, and applying data.
The Satellite East Data Method is as follows:
Prior to building school wide data literacy 1. Generate Data administer assessment School wide In core subjects score assessment (core subject teachers) 2. Sort Data (core subject teachers) group similar performance indicators 3. Disaggregate Data (core subject teachers) separate data: by grade by class by sub-group by student 4. Disseminate data to all school based stakeholders
5/6. Study Data (all stakeholders)
Identify Strengths and Weaknesses by grade by class by sub-group by student 6/7. Set Goals (all stakeholders) 7/8. Implement Goals (all stakeholders) Conference with students (Re-)Teach Assess 8/9. Revisit the goal/Share Results (all stakeholders) meet with Inquiry Team discuss results/findings plan next steps 9/10. Repeat
