State Committee Members Association of the Erie County
Democratic Committee Prepare for the State Convention
Group hears presentation on Governor Cuomos initiatives on behalf of Western New York;
endorses Jeremy Zellner for reelection

(Buffalo, NY) The State Committee Members Association of the Erie County Democratic
Committee met in advance of the New York State Democratic Convention, which takes place
next week. Sam Hoyt, Regional President at the Empire State Development Agency provided
an overview of Governor Andrew Cuomos unprecedented investments in Buffalo and
Western New York. State Committee Members unanimously endorsed Erie County
Democratic Chairman Jeremy Zellner for reelection this year.

We are looking forward to the upcoming convention and the opportunity to support our
statewide slate: Governor Cuomo, Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman and Comptroller
Thomas P. DiNapoli, said Catherine A. Rybczynski, Chair of the Group. We also believe
strongly in the leadership of our Chairman, Jeremy Zellner, and back his reelection.

Democratic state committee members are chosen by Assembly District. The local committee
members in each Assembly District select both a male and female delegate to the State Party.
State committee members will convene next week to nominate candidates for statewide
office: Governor, Attorney General and Comptroller. The 2014 State Democratic Convention
will take place May 20-22 in Melville, NY.
