SUBJ ECT: STUDENT ACTIVITY FUND (SAF) CAP

Dear Sir/Madame:

The incoming University Student Council advocates proper utilization as well as
appropriate inflow of funds gained from the enrollees of the university. It aims to
promote responsible funds management for the benefit of both the college and
the student body.

In line with this, we appeal for the implementation of a Student Activity Fund
(SAF) Cap. The cap would serve as a guide as to the maximum
appropriate SAF amount to be included in the enrollment fee of each
student. It consists of a matrix in which the number of students in a college
corresponds to the recommended maximum cap of the SAF amount to be billed
per student for the academic year. The amount of billing for each semester would
then be derived based on the funds needed for the implementation of projects
planned for that semester. It would also take part in our advocacy of responsible
funds management as it entails for a better and more reasonable budget
proposal for the academic year.
