TOPIC AND THESIS?

Topic
The quality of sportsmanship taught
to children.
Thesis
Being taught the importance of
positive sportsmanship in a
classroom can increase pro-social
behaviors in the children, making
them become physically active.

OVERALL INFORMATION
Childhood obesity is becoming one of the biggest epidemics in the world today.
The behaviors of children can really trigger how the interact with their
classmates. Arguing about a certain activity takes time away from the activity itself.
The unpleasant experiences involving poor sportsmanship have caused a lack of
physical activity, increasing their risk for serious health problems.
Be sure that you set realistic expectations for them- mentally and physically

The concept of win at all costs is unrealistic and it creates an unhealthy
environment for children.
At this age, whenever children hear lets play a game their ultimate goal is to
win. As a teacher, teach the children that everyone is a winner and its more
important to have fun than worry about the competition. Kids knowing that its
a competition will either not want to partake or their self-esteem will be
affected.
--POSITIVTY is important!
