The helpline aims to offer confidential, accurate and consistent information and advice on

STOP SMOKING SERVICE


A rolling programme of quit smoking programmes offered in most areas across Tameside and
Glossop. One-to-one sessions are available in a wide range of GP and Health Centre Settings.
They provide access to telephone support programmes and are currently piloting community
drop-in sessions. Specialist advisors cover workplaces and home visits if required.

MIND
Offers a range of free, confidential and non-judgmental services for those who may be
experiencing mental health problems. MIND has an open door policy but it is necessary to
phone for an appointment. Referral by a MIND worker is necessary for counselling and some
groups. There may also be a waiting list.
