Interview plan 2

Prior to starting this second interview, I had I firstly considered doing a rehearsal interview
in order to fine comfortable and confident way in which I can interview my guests. I felt that
interview rehearsals helped me in proving my interviewing skills first and for- most.
Secondly I felt more at ease and relaxed when interviewing.
Research and interview stricture
My actual concept of my second interview project was about British Teenagers being the
most UN happiest in the world. I had to consider who would be the most suitable people
to interview. I thought interview a depressed teenager would be a good idea as the whole
project revolves around young people. And another person that I thought would be
appropriate to interview would have to be a youth worker, I chose to interview a youth
worker because they deal with young people and they might have a clear insight as to why
young people might feel the need to be un happy or depressed.
Furthermore, in order to produce a well organised and detailed interview I had to do some
research, I did research because I wanted to talk about the right issue in my interview and
not go off topic as that will lead to poor interviewing skill, which I wanted to prevent. In
addition to that researching about this area helped me gain knowledge, which is
significantly helpful when interviewing.

I did some more research to find out
the statistics behind teenage
depression, which was very
significantly informative.

Here are some examples of
the secondary research that
I performed. I wanted to
know and understand
reason as to why teenagers
feel depressed.

Costume, props and equipment
Camera
Camera man
Lighting
Tripod
Ultimately, for my final interview , I came with a couple of concepts that assisted me creating and
constructing professional and a well detailed interview. One of my interviewee was a depressed
teenager. So therefore I chose to conduct the interview at her home. I decided to execute the
interview in that location as I felt it was most suitable for this type of interview (hard news) and it
showed how deep the topic really was. In addition to that interviewing at home will perhaps capture
the audiences attention and reveals a first-hand perception of being UN happy from the
interviewees point of view. In order for the interview to be conveyed as planned,, I had to use a
Camera to assist in in collecting footage, Camera man to help me film the interview clearly,,
Lighting; in this case I used both natural lighting and studio lighting in order to create a clearer
picture, Tripod- which used to hold up the camera in a steady position and avoid shakiness in my
footage. Most importantly cue card, which I used to help me in remembering my questions.
Location
My first interviewee will be at the dental clinic, where I will be interviewing a dentist
Style
This style of interview will be investigative. This is because my main purpose is to stop teenager from
binge drinking, and one of the ways I can do so is my gathering informative and educative
information

Liaisons
When I finally structured and planned my final concept of my interview, I reached out to one of my
interviewees via a phone call (depressed teenager) and we talked about what the interview will be
about. The teenager (Brenda) was able to be let me interview her and so we continued on
scheduling the appropriate time and dates for the both of us. I made the interview appointment via
a phones as that was the only form of contact, I did it this way because that was the only way I
could get through to her, although a face to face form of contact would have been a better solution,

still managed to convince the interviewee via a phone call. I still managed to explain the details of
the interview clearly and effective as I wanted the interview to understand what her role in the
interview was going to be. I eventually pledged the day and date when the interview was going to be
located. In addition to that, I also had to interview a youth worker as part of my interview plan
because they have more experience with young people and their trials and tribulations. I requested
a local youth worker if it was okay in I interviewed him. I went through the details of my interview
project and he was optimistic about the whole concept. So he agreed to be interviewed. I was able
to approach him face to face and we had a discussion.
