How to Overlay Clipart with a Solid Background:
Setting Transparent Color in Word 2011


1) Left click to select the clipart with the solid background you wish to overlay.



























2) Under the Format tab, left click on Color.

3) In the Color dropdown box that appears, left click Set Transparent Color.























4) Immediately left click anywhere on the solid background of the clipart you selected in Step 1.

5) The solid background will disappear. Then, left click and drag the clipart to reposition as desired.
