Dear Scholarship Committee:

I am happy to provide a letter of recommendation for Andrew
Becker and his scholarship application. I have known Andrew for
about the last 10 years. I have watched him grow as a person
and especially as a leader into a wonderful young man. I have
personally watched him climb the Boy Scout ladder, first as a
parent of other scouts (his mother, father, and others were
leaders) and currently, as I am one of his Assistant Scout
Leaders for Troop 435.

As a scout, he has shown the utmost character and observes
the Scout Oath and Law (Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly,
Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean, and
Reverent). He gets along very well with others. He has a
wonderful sense of humor and is fun to be around. He is able to
give the extra boost when needed to bring up the moral with his
peers. Andrew has held the leadership position as Senior Patrol
Leader, among many other positions while climbing ranks and has
shown great leadership for our troop. Currently, Andrew is a
Life Scout working on his Eagle and I have no doubt he will
complete his passage and reach the coveted Eagle Scout Rank. He
has helped many other scout members work on their Eagle Projects
along the way and gives 110%. I wish him great success.
