Councilmember David Alvarez issued a statement in response to the Mayor's revision of the proposed FY15 budget. While the revision took small steps in the right direction, Alvarez was disappointed that the neighborhoods he represents were still not receiving their fair share of citywide project funding. Specifically, there is a shovel-ready 15+ acre community park project in Ocean View Hills that only needs mayoral approval of funding to be built, and Alvarez looks forward to working with the council and mayor to secure funding for this project.

Alvarez Comments on Mayors May Revise
SAN DIEGO (May 20, 2014) Councilmember Alvarez has issued the following statement in response to the Mayors May Revision to the FY15 Proposed Budget.
I am disappointed the neighborhoods I represent are still not receiving their fair share of citywide project funding. While the Mayors revision to his budget proposal takes a few small steps in the right direction, much more needs to be done. There is a shovel-ready 15+ acre community park project in Ocean View Hills: the only thing standing in the way is the Mayors approval of the needed funding. I look forward to working with my Council colleagues and the Mayor to get this project built.
