DNSCs advent for a change

Its been a long time contemplation that tuition fee has never been an issue in
DNSC. For many students, DNSC is the place of no discrimination of the poor among
the poorest. Its the school that warmly welcomes students who are underserved,
underprivileged but deserving. Though few complains never end, every one still thinks
that in DNSC, you need not worry because education is in full blown quality. But sad to
say, no matter how it seems, DNSC is more known as cheap and probably the cheapest
among the schools in entire Davao Del Norte.
However, with DNSCs new advent for a change, this chain that binds students
and this awful reality breaks with an exclamation point. It replicates thus: A change we
need, a change we must!
A socialized tuition proposed last years academic year through an open forum
with the presence of Dr. Ruby V. Gonzales, whos recently the OSS dean, has been
finally approved by the board of trustees. This will take effect in the next school year
2013-2014, but it also varies depending upon student populace.
In this system, the benefit will be showered for both the school and the students.
Students will be given more opportunities in terms of scholarships and jobs for student
assistants. The school, on the other hand, will gain its profit in supporting its goal for
pursuing a quality education through enhancing equipments and providing convenient
classroom facilities.
Compared from other schools, 120 per unit for those freshmen and transferees
in the middle bracket and 160 per unit for those students whose income is more than
25,000 is not too much burden for them to reimburse.
Its indeed a one big step forward for a change to be realized. Yes, its a tough
move to encourage parents who are financially challenged to send their children in
DNSC. But no matter how we weigh things, its still the cheapest. Besides, Education is
really expensive. Parents need to invest and sacrifice everything in shaping their
childrens future.
The school is not just craving change for its own sake but also for the betterment
of its clientele. With this, one thing will always remain; standard quality education is the
schools utmost priority. It is a guarantee!
