PROJECT DETAILS:
Bridge maintenance is scheduled on five bridges in the Thumb Area beginning Tuesday, May 27.
This $1 million investment is weather-dependent.
M-25 over Pinnebog River
Located 6 miles southwest of Port Austin in Huron County. Work includes paving, painting, and
erosion control and approach work. This project will be suspended for the July 4 Cheeseburger
Festival and during the Labor Day holiday, and is expected to be completed in September.
M-25 over Schram Drain
Located 5.6 miles southwest of Port Austin in Huron County. Work includes paving, painting, and
erosion control and approach work. This project will be suspended for the July 4 Cheeseburger
Festival and during the Labor Day holiday, and is expected to be completed in September.
M-142 over Clunis Drain
Located 1 mile east of Elkton in Huron County. This project includes erosion control work and is
expected to be completed by July 4.
Work scheduled to begin after July 4, includes:
M-25 over Shebeon Drain
Paving and erosion control work just south of Bay Port, Huron County.
M-90 over Black River
Paving, painting, and erosion control work in the city of Croswell, Sanilac County.
TRAFFIC IMPACT:
M-25 over Pinnebog River - Huron County
- One alternating lane open using temporary traffic signals and a temporary concrete barrier.
M-25 over Schram Drain - Huron County
- One alternating lane open using temporary traffic signals.
M-142 over Clunis Drain - Huron County
- Shoulder closures in both directions.
MDOT will announce the schedules and traffic restrictions for work starting after July 4. Roadway
