Two faces for a president.

The current situation among Russia and Ukraine is the result of many events, such as the
refusal of former Ukraines president, Vyktor Yanukovych, to sign deal with European Union. This
is seen as unfair trick played by Russia in their attempt to not lose influence in some countries.
Ukrainians are divided into pro-Russians, the ones who yearns the URSS times back, and pro-
occidentals, the ones who want to be part of the EU. This provokes a riot among Ukrainians. In the
middle of this riot, Crimea, who is mostly populated by Russians but belongs to Ukraine, asked for
help to Vladimir Putin, Russias President. He responds by sending the military to take control of
the main cities of Crimea and its local parliament. As time went by, Crimean voted on a
referendum to consult which country they what to belong to, at the end they finally decided with
over 96% that they wanted to be part of Russia.
I Consideration to the news review, Russia in their attempt of gain power would do
anything to accomplish that; Crimea is a mean to obtain that. The gas fields possessed by Crimea
are directly piped linked to Ukraine, would give Russia a sort of authority over Ukraine. After
knowing that the former Ukrainian president was pro-Russian and he decided to refuse to sign the
deal bypassing the Ukrainians (part of them) desire, how can the rest of the world, who have
witnessed the attempts of Russia to overstep Ukraine, Confide in the decision of Crimean was not
influenced by Russian in their attempt of controlling Crimea? I do presume true that Russia is not
interested in taking care of Crimean people. Russia is just standing for themselves, putting them
first.
