Reminders

Last day of school June 5, Thursday dismissal at 11:30am
Report cards will be given out on the last day.
Please check your homes for books from school! Kindly return all books
ASAP!

News From Ms. Tindalls Class

Even though there are only two more weeks of school I do believe in taking
advantage of every last minute. I will continue teaching up to the very last day.
Children will soon get a very long vacation so please help me to keep the students in
the routine of learning by keeping to regular bedtimes, sticking with routines and
eating healthily.
Suggested Home Activities
Monday - Friday
Math: Grab mixed piles of coins and practice switch skip counting. Write the total
amount in cent notation and dollar and cent notation.
Do some of the Do Anytime activities that follow.
Fraction practice: divide groups of objects into equal parts. EG share 20 blocks fairly
amongst 2 (4, 5,10) friends.
Reading: + check around home and return all first grade and library books to school
Discussion: How has your child grown this year? Celebrate. Talk together about all
of the things your child has learned in grade one. Make a learning plan for the
holidays to be ready for grade two.
