was developed by theBangalore Development Authority and different sections were opened progressively between 1996 and 2002. This road connects all maor highways around the city ! Tumkur "oad #NH 4$, %ellary "oad #NH 7$, &ld 'adras "oad #NH 4$, Hosur Road#NH 7$, Bannerghatta Road, Kanakapura Road #NH 20$, 'ysore "oad #!H" #7$ and 'agadi "oad. (t passes through maor neighborhoods and suburbs such as He$$al#)*+$, %anaswadi, Krishnara%apuram#)*,$, &arathahalli, &adi'ala#)*+$, B(& )ayout, *+ Nagar,Banashankari, Kengeri, Bangalore ,niversity, Nagar$havi, )andini -ayout and .okula. (nitially conceived to keep the truck traffic out of downtown %angalore, the city has outgrown the &uter "ing "oad. )andi (nfrastructure /orporation -imited has almost completed another partial ring road around %angalore as a part of the %angalore 'ysore (nfrastructure /orridor proect #B&I-$.
