CHAPTER 5
CONCLUSION

5.1 Conclusion
The exergy analysis is a useful method that helps to choose decision alternatives. It
should serve as a useful tool for decision process support.
Exergy analysis performed on lignite coal (before processing), the process of
upgrading, gasification, and liquefaction to obtain the maximum value of energy or exergy
fuels. From the analysis of the larger exergy values obtained in the liquefaction process
233 997 kj / kg followed by gasification of 55,742 kj / kg, UBC 27 857 kJ / kg.
Energy analysis is used as a method of making a coal policy recommendations.
Based on the obtained energy value chosen liquefaction process is recommended as the
primary choice for coal processing coal as an energy policy.
The use of fuel (BBM) is increasing along with the rapidly growing unit of
vehicles. Various efforts are expected to overcome the dependence on fuel, one of
alternatif that is considered is supply fuel from liquefied coal (coal liquefaction).
Evaluating from its usage, fuel continues to dominate the national energy demand.
It is due to the fact that fossil fuel is still a major energy source in technology especially in
the transport sector. For the industry and power plant sector, utilization of coal is dominate
energy use in this sector. Just a small portion of technologies in industrial and power plant
use fuel. The best scenario can be choosen for coal policy is subtitution of fuel from CTL
in supporting transportation sector.
