AAA vnpntbety,
First of all, thank you for allowing us to present
our association in this edition of ASUMPTA. We
are thrilled and proud to be part of the
Assumption community worldwide.
We would like to take advantage of this
opportunity to make contact with other AAA
chapters abroad and share our growing
concern for the future of our scholars, whether
of SJNS or other mission schools in terms of
their continued education.
When our first batch of ro scholars graduated
from SJNS, only three needed our
-continued
support for high school. Sister Bernadette
Casas has maintained contact with these
children, although we had hoped to keep
informed on the whole batch to help them, if
necessary, achieve their goals in higher
education.
Our feeling is that for true transformative
education, grade school is not enough, and l'm
sure other AAA groups have mulled over the
same problem.
ls there a way we can get together on this?
How? Are you doing something already? Let us
really be "women of faith, women of action"
working together on the projects close to our
hearts!
