On Saturday, Dec. 29, Alex Mitchell had an accident
while snowboarding at Christie Mountain. He was flown
by helicopter from Christie to Sacred Heart Hospital in
Eau Claire. An MRI showed that his neck was broken in
two places and he underwent a three hour surgery
Saturday night to stabilize his C-4 and C-5 vertebrae.
Alex is a vital, energetic 19 year alumnus of RLHS. Alex
is still in his fight to overcome his spinal cord injury and
has gone through extensive therapy over the past year.
This tournament is FBLAs way to support Alex, his
family, and his recovery. All proceeds
